Athletics Breath Research

About the Project

This research project aims to gain an understanding of the optimal exhaled breath profile in collegiate athletes. The study will involve collecting breath samples from athletes before and after strenuous physical activity. The significance of exhaled breath as a diagnostic tool lies in its direct correlation with the body’s metabolic processes, offering a real-time snapshot of an individual’s health status. The findings of this non-invasive study may have implications for optimizing training regimens, monitoring athlete health, and improving performance outcomes in collegiate sports.
